A home being demolished in North East Victoria issued with a Building Permit for demolition

Demolition

Although the terminology may sound strange, to demolish a building you need a building permit.

Home building companies are increasingly offering 'knock-down/re-build' package options that appeal to a lot of property owners, however, often you may be required to arrange your own 'knock down' and clearance of the existing site.

This is where Next Project Building Permits comes in.

Property owners are NOT able to complete demolition works themselves (save for a few exceptions) and even registered demolition companies and practitioners need to obtain the correct approvals prior to commencing. One of these key requirements is to obtain planning consent (known as a s29A approval) and a building permit.

Next Project Building Permits can advise you on the processes required and can issue a permit for your contractor to commence works.
