Swimming Pool & Spa Barrier Compliance

Swimming pool and spas can be an incredible thing. They are a great place to cool off after a long summers day and a great place for the kids to splash and play.
They can also be very inviting to young children, which makes them an extremely dangerous thing!

That's why every swimming pool and spa in Victoria is required to be registered with local Council and MUST have a compliant barrier in place.

Property owners are required, by law, to maintain the integrity of swimming pool barriers and must provide a 'Certificate of pool and spa barrier compliance' (Form 23) to local Council that this is the case. This certification must be updated regularly (currently every 4 years).

Next Project Building Permits can provide the required inspection and certification for property owners to maintain their obligations on an ongoing basis.
